Our creative team features both seasoned and rising media professionals in film, television and publishing including many fine artists, technical operators and digital influencers

Principals

Writer, director and co-producer of Granite Orpheus, Rick Broussard has a few quirky film scripts currently in development and a colorful grab bag of television and film production credits. His influence is woven deeply into the New England creative community as journalist, culture observer, writer, judge and critic. Rick is a founder/creator of the N.H. Theatre Awards and helped create New Hampshire Magazine, the Granite State’s premier journal of lifestyle and the arts, which he edited for nearly 30 years.

John Hession is a filmmaker based in New Hampshire.  After attending the DGA training program in New York City, John has worked as a DP on hundreds of films, television shows and Music Videos.  In 1997 He received a New York area Emmy for his camera work on the series VIVA. His current projects include documenting productions for the Non profit New Hampshire Dance Collaborative and a series of films on transforming architecture, Net-Zero in New England. Recent films, including Gorgeous and Hidden in Plain Sight, have been featured on NHPTV.   His collaboration with Amanda Whitworth on the 2021 film Middling was a juried entry in the ScreenDance Film Festival.  

Creative Associates

Our creative team consists of versatile freelancers and professionals in all the essential specialties of filmmaking, audio production and digital communications. 

Brian Coombes is the producer and recording engineer at Rocking Horse Studio. Prior to starting Rocking Horse, he was a founding member of the progressive rock band Tristan Park. The band recorded four albums and toured extensively in Europe and North America before going into hiatus in 1998. Coombes most recent work includes four albums of original music created with his songwriting and perform ire Dolls" and "The Last Pink Glow" (2025) a musical interpretation of Jack Kerouac's unfinished novella "The Haunted Life." 


Chloe Barcelou is a photographer, set designer, costumer, stylist, prop master and maker with an ever-growing list of successful projects completed for Hollywood and independent film. With her partner Brandon Bachelder, she founded Shiphouse Productions, specialists in production design and art direction for film and photography. The company is named for their famous tiny house — a veritable pirate ship on wheels — that they inhabit when working on location. The house and their recent book about it, “Tales of a Not So Tiny House,” was featured in the New York Times, furthering the growing fame of this filmmaking Renaissance woman.

Tom Devaney is sculptor and painter with his studio/gallery T.Devaney Fine Art in Concord, Devaney utilizes a variety of traditional methods and modern techniques in making artwork that allows him to communicate a range of perspectives. As a teacher, he is interested in helping students develop the skills and techniques that allow them to develop their own artistic voice. Devaney joined Great Bay Community College as Program Coordinator for fine arts and digital media, after teaching in the visual arts department of the New Hampshire Technical Institute for the past decade.

Joe St. Pierre is a professional hotel and resort photographer, proudly Marriott-approved, specializing in capturing stunning visuals across the US Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Eastern Canada. With years of experience, his focus has been on delivering high-quality imagery that showcases the unique character and appeal of each property he photographs. Currently, Joe is embarking on a deeply meaningful personal project titled "Sleepless Streets." This initiative is dedicated to shedding light on the harsh realities of homelessness. Whether it's elevating luxury destinations or telling compelling human stories, Joe’s goal is to create impactful imagery that leaves a lasting impression.

Morgan Karanasios is an in-demand architectural, portrait and wedding photographer whose work has been featured in NH Home and Bride magazines. Clients cite her mastery of the dreamy lighting that evokes feeling and emotion. Growing up with an interior designer, she says styling and layering now intuitively plays a crucial role in her building memorable moments in both photography and videography. When she’s not photographing she’s working in her commercial flower garden or training her big dog in the agility ring.

Andrew Pinard has performed professionally as a perceptual engineer/sleight-of-hand artist since 1990 (absomagic.com). He founded and administrated the award-winning Hatbox Theatre in Concord, NH, served as Executive Artistic Director of the Claremont Opera House from late 2020 through early 2023 and is serving as the Interim Executive Director at AVA Gallery and Arts Center since December of 2024. He holds a BA in Music from Plymouth State University and consults for municipalities, schools, and arts organizations looking to start new spaces or revamp existing ones.
